Ladies and Gentlemen, Geeks and Gamers, we are delighted to announce our next LAN party event in Telford this January! With the support of international gaming hardware manufacturer OCZ and local IT services firm Midland Computers, LAN:Champs #10 is truly set to be our biggest and best LAN party yet!

The run-up to Christmas will see the release of some of the year’s most anticipated PC games, including updates to firm LAN:Champs favourites Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will deliver more of the intense first-person shooter action that has kept us gaming throughout the night since the very first LAN:Champs back in January 2008.

Left 4 Dead 2 will take LAN:Champs gamers to post-apocalyptic Savannah, Georgia, USA where the zombie infestation has reached new heights, pushing co-operative action gaming to the limit.

These brand new games will feature heavily on the LAN:Champs #10 agenda, but gamers without copies will still be able to enjoy the action with games of the original Modern Warfare and Left 4 Dead, along with other popular LAN:Champs games such as Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Soulstorm, TrackMania Nations, Red Alert 3 and lots more.

Our sponsors, OCZ and Midland Computers, will be generously providing prizes for the event, while our unique LAN:Champs ranking system, our game tournaments and our fun challenges will ensure that everyone gets a chance at claiming them.

The event will be taking place at our usual venue, the Coalport Village Hall in Coalport in Telford, Shropshire, on the banks of the River Severn.

Our LAN party will run for 24 hours from midday on Saturday 2nd January through to midday on Sunday 3rd January. There is plenty of car parking space available at the venue, along with sizeable kitchen facilities, restrooms and disabled access.

Tea and coffee will be FREE throughout the event as usual, in case your caffeine levels need bolstering. Other snacks and drinks are available, and we will be placing a massive pizza order some time between 20:00 and 22:00 on the Saturday evening, so bring some spare change!

Wont everyone be really hung over that weekend?

I'll be very at work that weekend can't really get it off as i'm off for 2 weeks after which will be a welcome change from the non stop shifts every day

We're sorry to inform you that because we have had only a very small number of sign-ups for LAN:Champs #10 this weekend, we have had to cancel the event.

We will try to reschedule another LAN:Champs for some date later this year when more gamers will be able to attend.
